Our Story
Driven Power Systems was founded by James E. Webb IV, a master electrician with deep roots in Florida and Pinellas County. Born and raised in the Tampa Bay area, Webb comes from a family of entrepreneurs and small business owners who set foot in this great country more than four generations ago.
Taking his interest in electricity and merging it with his passion for helping others, he continued the family tradition by starting Driven Power Systems with his wife. This small but rapidly growing electrical contracting business has gone from him being the main electrician to a carefully assembled team of 14 technicians. The DPS family is dedicated to building relationships with our customers and other local tradesmen.
With more than 20 years of experience in the industry, Webb’s passion is the electrical trade. He has worked on many projects across the U.S. from residential properties to industrial plants. He is even a professor of electrical theory and provides scholarships for aspiring electricians to go to Ptech and become journeymen.
